A veteran of the telecommunication and technology industries, Paul Thienes founded Missing Link Networks, Inc. in 1997 after relocating to the Napa Valley and seeing the growing demand for eCommerce solutions for wineries. Paul soon realized that no other companies were providing truly “integrated” software by connecting orders and customers across all transactions points and quickly went to work on developing a web-based point-of-sale system for tasting rooms to complement an online shopping cart. In 1999 eCellar was born. Always the innovator, Paul has been adding critical functionality to eCellar ever since. When not building out new eCellar features or leading a lively User Group session here in Calistoga, Paul enjoys outdoor adventure and exploring the globe with family.
Growing up in the Napa Valley, Brian Hawkins is a true wine Industry insider. Drawn to the consumer sales end of the business, he has worked in tasting room management where he learned the importance of a solid wines sales software platform. Brian joined the Missing Link Networks team in 2009, directly from an eCellar client so he brings a user perspective which really adds to his ability to help our customers get the most from their eCellar installation. With his unique winery experience, Brian leads our support effort for eCellar Tasting Room and Wine Club subscribers.
Being the first family in his town to own a personal computer in 1984 and going on to work in the wine industry for more than 12 years Nick Shoults is a natural to take the lead on eCellar implementation. He literally has technology AND wine on the brain! His experience in many aspects of the wine business gives him valuable unique insights and know-how to help refine eCellar and manage client integrations.
